'genuine phone doodles'

'two flowers, one askew'

'rocks on an incline'

'silly flowers' --trying out another Pilot V5 rollerball pen. I thought I'd read the new ones were water resistant, clearly that's not the case. Does anyone have any pen recommendations?

'lines and lines' Pilot V5 makes delightful lines. I could probably draw lines with it all day. Or at least for an hour or two.

'three big blobs'

'raindrops'

'french bread?'

'fake product'

'bowl'

'lots of eggs'

'was a glass'

Loved the lines I was getting with the Pilot Rollerball and then I added watercolor. I won't do that again unless I want a big grey puddle. Otherwise I was just creating little vignettes. I'm enjoying the Prismacolor pencils with watercolor.

I liked the first two, 'round round eggs' and 'circle the stars'. The third, 'overworked peapods', well the name says it all. I was on the phone with a friend for 60 minutes and I worked on it the whole time. Now that I see them on my computer, the first two look washed out and the third looks better scanned in. Huh!

Today I bought a set of ceramic dishes for mixing watercolors and I
have found they are thoroughly delightful to use.

I was also reunited with my Uniball roller pen. I find it's hard to
use for writing, too slow and scratchy, and it also has a tendency
to burst open in my tote bag... so I don't necessarily recommend them.
But I've always loved drawing skinny little made up things with it,
and I forgot how much fun those doodles were.

I found a handful of crayons and I tried them along with the
watercolor. Wax resist is awesome, crayons+watercolor=fun!

Uhmmm, I call it "Ton 'O Doodles". I bought new paper today and I
thought I'd try it out...I never thought I'd cover the entire page
with doodles. 11"x15" of doodle lovin'. I can't say it's pretty but it
was mind-numbingly therapeutic. Working on a couple traffic light
doodles, still in progress-- tomorrow when I'm waiting at the
intersection of Van Doren and Main Street I've got a doodle to
finish... until then, good night!

So I ate too much pumpkin pie after dinner and now I can't sleep.
Seemed like a good time to get a couple doodles in.

I'm not proud of #7, Too Many Squares (doesn't even deserve a title,
really) but I just wanted to see what I would do with just making
continuous squares. Answer: nowhere.

#8, Scary Tomato, it's not pretty but I liked doing it. I got in the
Mental Doodle Zone and just kept my pencil moving, then my paint
brush. Turns out the crummy paints I have aren't so bad if I just use
a lot of pigment. Can't blame the paints for bad doodles; must blame
myself. All in good humor of course. 'Tis but a doodle.

Doodles 1+2 are watercolors using a cheap set I'd bought 2 years ago and never tried. The colors scanned horribly, and I'm hoping my better watercolors will reproduce more accurately. Today I learned that scanning doodles is a lesson in reproducing color (don't have high expectations and you will be a better person for it).
Doodles 3+4 are self-explanatory.
Doodles 5+6 were using whatever was on the kitchen table at the time.

Pitty PNC Bank, their deposit slips always seem to end up as my notepaper.
